ROHR Zimbabwe BOT Report- year ending 2013 Our reputation as a robust human rights organisation remains intact and our credibility is growing from strength to strength. We have together triumphed over the stumbling blocks that threatened the original vision guiding our collective effort. I have nothing but admiration for what we have achieved this far. We approach the next 365 days knowing without a doubt that old ideas are the problem; old ideas do not settle new problems. New solutions demand new approaches and skills so be ready to be part of the solution. ROHR Zimbabwe, being a member of […]

Alongside huge achievements that include the maiden peace building project which was supported by the European Commission in 2010, the organization has survived fierce internal turbulence that threatened its existence. It was either the vision had to die or some bad elements had to be gotten rid of.   2013 was a major shifting point for the nation with the holding of the harmonized elections on the 31st of July. ROHR Zimbabwe represented by Deputy Chairperson […]

Answers Campaign comes to life. 08 June 2017 Every problem that exist within the community or in the nation is a question that is waiting for an answer. In all sections of the community even outside of politics, we should develop a culture of addressing problems that we encounter in our immediate spheres. There is a lot that can be done outside of politics to inspire development within our communities. Complaining alone about what should have been done is not enough. Even when the mandated centers of responsibility have not done enough or not done anything at all, it’s a […]

by isaiah_g9q25srh
UK Chapter Chairperson”s Policy Statement Number 1 of 2013 According to reliable sources in Zimbabwe the just ended referendum on the draft of the new constitution was held in a generally peaceful environment despite a few isolated incidences of violence prior to the poll.   As part of civic society ROHR Zimbabwe agreed that the new constitution was better than that which was born out of the Lancaster House conference, which had become patched up with amendments, most of which were of a suspicious nature.   Does Zimbabwe now have the capacity to hold free and fair elections? It is […]
