Secretary of State for the Home Department<\/strong><\/a><strong>\u201d.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em>\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Major points to note:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>No general duty on Secretary of State to disclose evidence in asylum cases, only not to mislead by omission<\/li>\n<li>Overturned Country Guidance in case of <em>EM and Others (Returnees) Zimbabwe CG<\/em> [2011] UKUT 98 (IAC)\u00a0reinstated with amendment to account for <em>RT (Zimbabwe)<\/em> [2012] UKSC 38<\/li>\n<li>Elections due in 2013, though, and situation is fluid. New country information is always to be taken into account.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>To peruse the full country guidance case, click <a href=\"http:\/\/www.unhcr.org\/refworld\/docid\/510bd4e52.html\"><strong>here<\/strong><\/a><strong>.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>BRADFORD BRANCH ENGAGES IN VOLUNTARY COMMUNITY WORK<\/p>\n<p>By Panyika Karimanzira\u00a03<sup>rd<\/sup> February, 2013<\/p>\n<p><em>\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>\u00a0<\/em>On Thursday 31<sup>st<\/sup> January, 2013 five members of ROHR Zimbabwe\u2019s Bradford branch, namely Lorraine Mudjgiwa, Justice Sibanda, Gladys Jinjika, Hildah Mpofu and Peter Jaure turned up at Bradford Resource Centre, 17 &#8211; 21 Chapel Street, Bradford, BD1 5DT to perform community work<\/p>\n<p>This was in response to a call for partnership by, BIASAN &#8211; Bradford Immigration and Asylum Seekers Support and Advice Network<strong>.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The ROHR Zimbabwe team worked mainly in the kitchen and dining room, cooking and serving food. They served the variety of dishes they prepared, for free, to an appreciating diverse group of mostly needy people from within Bradford. They then washed the dishes and cleaned the whole place after the meals.<\/p>\n<p>The job, which started at 2:00 pm and finished around 7:30 pm, five and a half hours later, left scores of people well fed for the day.<br \/>\nROHR Zimbabwe\u2019s Bradford branch has committed itself to engaging in more community voluntary work in Bradford in future at the bidding of any section of the society in need of voluntary services.<\/p>\n<p>Speaking at the end of the day, Lorraine Mudjgiwa, the Chairperson of the Bradford branch of ROHR Zimbabwe and co-ordinator of the northern region of ROHR Zimbabwe\u2019s UK Chapter said; -\u201cWe are pleased to work in partnership with organisations which deliver invaluable services to the community.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>For pictures taken at this event, click <a href=\"http:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/rohr_zimbabwe__manchester\/sets\/72157632675395853\/\"><strong>here<\/strong><\/a><strong>.<\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>NEW COUNTRY GUIDANCE CASE FOR ZIMBABWE CAME INTO FORCE ON 31ST JANUARY, 2013 There is a new country guidance case for Zimbabwe with effect from 31st January, 2013.
