The\nmeeting was co-chaired by Alvina Chibhamu (Branch Secretary) and Vongayi Mufara\n(Branch Organizing Secretary). It started at 15:30 hrs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Register of attendance<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Alvina\nChibhamu, Vongayi Mufara and Olivia Chamboko (via video link).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Apologies <\/strong>were received from Abigail Wadzanayi Chidavayenzi,\nLinda Chenyama, Edward Rhappozoh<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The meeting discussed, among other things;-<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>Minutes of the previous meeting,<\/li><li>Matters arising from the minutes of the previous\nmeeting,<\/li><li>Fundraising<\/li><li>Identifying a theme and starting a campaign<\/li><li>Identifying a suitable beneficiary in Zimbabwe, who\nis a victim of torture or persecution by state machinery and funding their\nlegal, medical and \/ or welfare needs.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Prior to the meeting, Olivia Chamboko had liaised\nwith Jestina Mukoko, the Director of the Zimbabwe Peace Project who then\nassisted by identifying one victim of torture and introducing the victim to\nOlivia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Among other things the meeting agreed a number of\nactions resulting from the discussion of each agenda item.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Some of the action points agreed were;-<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>Vongayi Mufara to start liaising with the victim identified by\nJestina Mukoko. and link the victim with our representative in Harare.<\/li><li>Olivia Chamboko to convene a physical meeting of the\nvictim with our representative in Harare and to continue to liaise with the\nZimbabwe Peace Project.<\/li><li>Alvina Chibhamu to come up with a hashtag for our next campaign.<\/li><li>All to mobilize our members in Scotland to register\nto vote as one of the many ways of integrating into the society of our host\nnation.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>All agenda items and any other\nbusiness having been exhausted, Alvina Chibhamu declared the meeting closed at\n17:00 hrs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To view pictures taken at the event, <a href=\"mailto:https:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/rohr_zimbabwe__manchester\/albums\/72157711110084186\">click here<\/a> or follow the link below.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>By: Information &amp; Publicity Department<\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>29th September 2019 On Saturday 28th September 2019 the Scotland Branch of the UK Chapter of &nbsp;Restoration of Human Rights (ROHR) Zimbabwe held a meeting at Motel One, 78 \u2013 82 Oswald Street, GlasgowG1 4PL, Scotland.
