Report prepared by Nicolate\nShungu Gwati.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p style=\"font-size:-3px\">Register of attendance<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p style=\"font-size:-3px\">Tsungirirai Kahiya (Chairperson), Marian Mangani, Blessing\nGoronga, Kauza Mugarisanwa, Weston Mupfururirwa, Grace Makoni, LilianTNleya,\nFrazer Muzondo, Edwin Kamanda, Eveline Kuwaza, Lydia Muzvidziwa, Olivia\nChamboko, Alvina Chibhamu and Shingirai Kandi<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Agenda<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol><li>Opening\nprayer<\/li><li>Matters\narising from previous meeting<\/li><li>Secretary\u2019s\nreport on the branch by Nicolate<\/li><li>Organising\nSecretary\u2019s report by Lilian<\/li><li>Treasurer\u2019s\nreport by Grace<\/li><li>Fundraiser\u2019s\nreport by Marian<\/li><li>Communication\nand time keeping<\/li><li>Any other\nbusiness<\/li><li>Closing\nprayer<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p style=\"font-size:-3px\">Meeting started 15:00hrs<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>The\ntheme of this year is ownership&nbsp;so Tsungi&nbsp;encouraged&nbsp;all members\nto take the initiative when it comes to activism. Any one is free to come up\nwith ideas that we can all engage in as a branch<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ol><li>She spoke about her disappointment\nin members who waited to be pushed when it comes to doing any activism <\/li><li>She also indicated that people were\nnot doing the research that they would have been assigned to do at previous\nmeetings and those who did the research were sending reports that were too\ninadequate to be put on the blog. . <\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>3.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Secretary\u2019s report by Nicolate Gwati<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol><li>Points\nraised at last meeting<\/li><li>Cultural fun day&nbsp; <\/li><li>Fun runs \u2013 half marathons where people\ncan donate funds to ROHR <\/li><li>Cultural dance day \u2013 Lilian will look\ninto it <\/li><li>Football tournament<\/li><li>Bring and sell<\/li><li>Car wash \u2013 can be incorporated into\nwhatever we are doing<\/li><li>unwanted gift sale \u2013 people can donate\nthings that they don\u2019t want, and these can be sold &nbsp;<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>Nikki\nchecked with the youth centre and has booked the venue provisionally for the 31<sup>st<\/sup>\nof August 2019 and they will charge us \u00a375<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>Tasks that were given<\/li><li>Lilian and Daisy are going to look at\nthe stats of the rapes that have occurred <\/li><li>Mr Makonese is going to find out if\nthere are currently any campaign that are going on with regards to rapes<\/li><li>Sibonile will look at how many women\nhave anonymously spoken out about being raped<\/li><li>Precious\nD Marechera will be looking at what the government\u2019s response has been to these\nrape allegations and have they put anything in place to address these\nallegations<\/li><li>Weston is going to be looking at the\nsocial implications of being raped and the well-being of these women who have\nbeen raped. Weston noted that some of the women who were raped were raped in\nfront of their children and husbands<\/li><li>Gladys\nDube will look at organisations that advocate for women who have been raped\nboth here in the UK and in Zimbabwe.&nbsp; <\/li><li>We\nneed a portable banner with a pull up stand for our branch. We need people to\nlook into it and get prices and compare. Olivia Chamboko has donated \u00a320\ntowards this. Tsungi will do designs for the banner and see which ones people\nare happy with <\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>Way\nForward<\/li><li>I think we should\nstart thinking about what our next campaign will be so that as soon as our rape\ncampaign ends, we will have another campaign on the books&nbsp; <\/li><li>Going forward I would\nlike to encourage everyone in the branch to visit our Facebook and Flickr\naccounts and our website at least once a week going forward <\/li><li>I would also like to\nencourage those who are capable of writing blog articles to do so and these can\nbe posted on the ROHR blog page<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p style=\"font-size:-3px\">&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;\n4.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Organizing Secretary\u2019s\nreport by Lilian Tinashe Nleya<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol><li>Cultural\nFun Day <\/li><li>Weston Mupfururirwa donated \u00a312\ntowards&nbsp;buying the stencil that is to be used for face painting.<\/li><li>Lilian offered to bring part of the\nagreed&nbsp;foods etc mufushwa dried&nbsp;vegetables, Ocra, matemba and other\nthings. She also volunteered to go and look for cufflinks and earrings.<\/li><li>One of the members also\nsuggested&nbsp;the use of Raffle tickets on the day<\/li><li>The\nchair asked&nbsp;members to&nbsp;bring anything that symbolises our\nculture&nbsp;and emphasised&nbsp;that visitors were welcome.&nbsp;<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p style=\"font-size:-3px\">&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;\n5.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Treasurer\u2019s report by\nGrace Makoni<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p style=\"font-size:-3px\">The money in\nour treasury includes the money that is being set aside to help those who\ncannot afford the transportation costs needed to attend meetings and\ndemonstrations<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p style=\"font-size:-3px\">&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;\n6.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Other Reports<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p style=\"font-size:-3px\">Reports were\nalso filed by the Fundraising and Information portfolios<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;\n7.&nbsp;&nbsp; Acitivism<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol><li>People were reminded to advocate for people who have been\nraped and to find out what kind of support we can offer them as a branch <\/li><li>Edwin Kamanda mentioned&nbsp;that it was good to be a\nchampion&nbsp;of one campaign effectively instead of doing a lot of things that\nare ineffective <\/li><li>Weston Mupfururirwa was tasked with looking for t-shirts on\nwhich messages could be printed on and sold.
