Press Statement 30th July, 2013
At the National Executive Meeting held in London on Saturday 27th July 2013, the U.K Chapter of ROHR Zimbabwe unanimously voted and endorsed the institution with immediate effect of a Chairperson Committee. This is in response to the urgent need to consolidate the leadership and support our colleagues who are faced with competing personal demands.
Pamela Dunduru and Patrick Gore assume all responsibilities and authority as well as the autonomy of the Chairperson and the Vice Chairperson of the Executive as of 30th July 2013. The Board of Trustees and all the members of the National Executive need the support of all our stakeholders especially during this time of transition in order for us all to continue advancing the cause of Human Rights effectively
Messrs Billie Nedie and Ronald Oputeri are on leave of absence for a minimum of three months. They remain valued members of the U.K National Executive. It is our intention to uphold the organisation’s goals and progress whilst at the same time being compassionate and supportive towards one another
Please also observe the following changes that were discussed and voted into place.
Pamela Dunduru is now the National Executive U.K Chairperson
Patrick Gore is now the National U.K Vice Chairperson
Delina Mutyambizi is now the National Executive U.K Treasurer. She will also be working in the Fundraising Committee.
Charity Nyamuzuwe is now a National Executive U.K Fundraiser
Priscilla Chitsinde is now the National Executive U.K”s Organising Secretary
Paradzai Mapfumo will work with the Organising Secretary but will retain the main role of National Co ordinator.
We wish all Zimbabweans the very best in the General Elections taking place on Wednesday 31st July 2013. Our desire is that there will be minimal or no Human Rights abuses. The FEYA FEYA Campaign and our involvement remains our priority as we continue to work under the umbrella of the Zimbabwe Crisis Coalition.
