Under the auspices of ROHR Zimbabwe’s Education Assistance Programme (EAP), ROHR Zimbabwe donated pens and other items of stationery to specially selected needy Primary and Secondary Schools in Zimbabwe, over the years.
Here is a recap of the donations.
On 29th January 2016 ROHR Zimbabwe donated pens to Dungwiza Primary School, St Marys, Chitungwiza, Zimbabwe. This event was covered in this report.
On 6th December 2017 ROHR Zimbabwe donated pens to Mandalay School (formerly Nharira School and Junior Primary School) in Goromonzi South, Zimbabwe. This event was covered in this report.
On 16th December 2017 ROHR Zimbabwe donated pens to Emthunzini weThemba Children’s Home in Mzilikazi suburb, Bulawayo, Zimbabwe. The presentation of the donation was done by Tabani Moyo, one of the members of the Board of Trustees of ROHR Zimbabwe.
On 2nd of March 2018 ROHR Zimbabwe donated pens to more than five schools in Mt Darwin, Zimbabwe. Some of the schools are;- Ruya Primary, Tsakare Primary, Tsakare Secondary, Dick Huck Primary and Mukurwi Primary.
On 7th of March 2018 ROHR Zimbabwe donated pens to three schools in Musana Communal Lands near Bindura, Zimbabwe. The schools are;- Chindotwe Primary, Gwaze Primary and Mhumhurwi Primary. The presentation of the donations was done by Ronald Mureverwi the then Chairperson of the Board of Trustees of ROHR Zimbabwe.
On 8th of March 2018 ROHR Zimbabwe donated pens to four schools in Bindura, Zimbabwe. The schools are;– Chireka Primary, Chireka Secondary, Wayerera Primary, Wayerera Secondary. The presentation of the donations was done by Ronald Mureverwi the then Chairperson of the Board of Trustees of ROHR Zimbabwe.
ROHR Zimbabwe donated pens to schools in Murewa, among them Muchinjike Primary and Muchinjike Secondary Schools as well as to a number of Schools in Binga.
All in all, over 20000 (Twenty thousand) pens were donated and distributed.
ROHR Zimbabwe would like to thank all members of ROHR Zimbabwe’s UK Chapter for mobilizing the resources that made the shipment of the pens to Zimbabwe possible and for contributing towards the logistics of the donation processes in Zimbabwe
